I have fond memories of Paul from my days working as a massuer with the GB cycling team and Viking Campagnolo. He was one of the genuine nice guys. The other day I was searching through old suitcases of memorabilia and I came across a purple Milk Race team leaders hat from the 1977 Milk Race. I think the leader's hats were won by GB after a stage into Sefton Park in Liverpool. I was the GB team masseur and I asked Paul if I could have it as a souvenir and he gave it me with his usual smile. It's still got his sweat on it I think! Treasured memories. Doug Coombes
